Snow flurries or hockey Flurey's

Here in my town we have recently had a record breaking cold snap. It started with our initial snow dumping, then it just got really cold, and stayed that way. I don't mind the cold, yes it is a pain scraping off my car in the morning, but in exchange here are some things I like about the colder weather:

-I like the feeling of piling extra blankets on my bed.

-Wearing my super duper fuzzy socks that my mom and dad gave me for Christmas.

-Feeling like I am actually Canadian, and my body is able to maintain it's normal temperature of 97.8 degrees (yes, my body runs colder than others)

-Wearing warm fuzzy polar-fleece jackets

-Calgary Flames beating the socks off of the Edmonton Oilers 4-0!!!

-Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes.

OK, so mostly what brings up this random post is that my weather tracker says that snow flurries are expected in the area. Flurries got me thinking about my Hockey Team, the above mentioned Calgary Flames, I think when I was younger there was a hockey player by the name of Flurey (I have no clue how to spell that). This always makes me happy. Also, Doug Flutie, and Patrick Roy (It's pronounced WAHHH). I could be completely out to lunch with Flurey and Flutie. But I know about Patrick Roy. I watched him play goalie for the Colorado Avalanche (my other team).

My mom always said that she felt a little schizophrenic during Flames - Flyers games because she always felt like cheering for all good plays. (Mom learned about Hockey with her Dad in Philadelphia, watching Flyers games).

Anyway, just some random hockey thoughts. Love you!
